About the Journal

University of Chitral Journal of Linguistics and Literature (JLL) is a peer-reviewed academic journal committed to the advancement of research and scholarship in the fields of linguistics and literature. The journal aims to provide a dynamic platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to share their insights, discoveries, and critical perspectives that contribute to the growing body of knowledge in these disciplines.
The scope of UCJLL encompasses a wide range of topics, including, but not limited to:

• Theoretical and applied linguistics
• Sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and language acquisition
• Discourse analysis and stylistics
• Comparative and world literature
• Literary theory and criticism
• Language teaching and pedagogy
• Indigenous and regional languages and literatures
• Interdisciplinary studies linking language, literature, and culture

JLL welcomes original research articles, critical essays, review articles, and book reviews that reflect scholarly rigor and contribute to contemporary debates in linguistics and literary studies. Submissions that engage with underrepresented languages, cultures, and literary traditions—particularly those relevant to the region and beyond—are especially encouraged.
